Simultaneous submissions are allowed; just let us know if it was accepted elsewhere. New translations are also welcome. Multiple submissions, however, are not. The Tyrant asks that authors refrain from submitting more than one story at a time. We do not accept unsolicited book-length submissions at the Tyrant. However, if you have something you would like for us to consider, please send a self-contained excerpt or story and we will contact you if interested.

To submit by mail, please send clearly typed manuscripts, doublespaced in the 12 pt font of your choice on 8_" x 11" white paper, one side only. The first page must contain the following: name, address, e-mail address, and phone number. Enclose a SASE or we cannot guarantee that your work will elicit a response; we can, however, guarantee that it will not be returned. Regardless of SASE, manuscripts will not be returned unless specifically requested, with the correct postage included. We do not accept submissions that require any type of signature on delivery. If you do not hear from us within three months time of submitting, you may want to inquire about the status of your story. Regular mail submissions should be sent to:
